These wonderful ornate skink Lizard carvings and reptile statues have been personally handmade for Siiren. They have been crafted by a gifted carver named Putu who is based in bali, Indonesia. Under our Strict Fair-trade guidelines Siiren pay Putu up to 4 x more than a large company would expect to pay him for this same work.

These carvings have been created using a tropical hard wood known as parasite wood. It gets its name from a parasite that causes the wood to deform into mushroom like growths. The growths are then cut away to leave the most awesome naturally created shapes. Each piece of parasite wood is totally unique which is what really makes these carvings standout.
